With Christmas fast approaching, it’s important for you to ensure that your machinery is operating efficiently to meet the increased demand. This increased workload and extended running hours can put an additional strain on machinery, leading to potential repair costs and down-time. By following the below steps, you can rest assured knowing that your machine is prepared for the busy festive period ahead.
1. Treat your machine to a health check
Booking your machinery in for one of our comprehensive health checks will ensure that it is ready to take on any increase demand in production. Our engineers will perform a thorough inspection on your machinery, providing you with advice and recommendations on how you can keep it working at its optimum level.
Following your health check, you will be given a full report, detailing any advisories or issues that need addressing to maintain your machine. Our dedicated Spares & Service team will be on-hand to assist you with any further servicing, spares orders or other requirements you may have.
2. Stock up on your recommended spares
Having all of the recommended spares for your machinery on-hand allows for any necessary repairs to be completed quickly and helps you to avoid costly down-time. Due to the busy Christmas period, our Spares Department advise that customers order necessary spares as soon as possible to ensure that they arrive in time.
3. Arrange additional training for your team members
Our Operator and Technician Training is designed to teach your team members how to effectively start-up machinery, carry out more efficient changeovers, diagnose/rectify issues and operate safely in the workplace. Training will help to boost the efficiency of your production process and give you peace of mind that your team have the knowledge and confidence they need to cope with increased demand over busy periods.
4. Enlist some production/engineering support
Could our engineers assist you during your busy production period? As demand increases over Christmas, you may seek additional help during production. Our engineers boast a wealth of knowledge/experience and can help oversee your production.
5. Organise a service contract for the new year
Entering into one of our service maintenance contracts will prepare your machine for Christmas and for the following year. CWM Automation’s bespoke maintenance contracts are designed to assist you with the ongoing maintenance of your machinery. Contracts are carefully constructed to reflect aspects such as the frequency and degree of service activity, the operating environment and production seasonality.
